2005 Legacy GT Turbo, Subaru's official new website for it

Post by Grant »

Here's spec on the new japanese Legacy
EJ20-R 2.0-litre intercooled twin-scroll turbo: 276hp at 6400rpm. 249ft/lb's of torque at 2400rpm. 32.5mpg in 10/15mode.

goto http://www.apexjapan.com for some pics. I have no way to host it or I'd post it here. I'm sure we can count on someone here that has the ability to to post it.

I second that. The rear looks kinda like a toyo Matrix. I think it looks pretty damn good though. It works. I really like the dual exhaust, which is absent from all models but the SVX. Am I right?

Thank you Dutch! But the 04 Impreza's are lookin pretty sweet

You all don't like it??? I think it looks fantastic!!! It still has Subaru styling cues, like the front fascia, fog lights and all, but it's fresh. So it has a little Acura TSX to it, big whoop...

And the rear is different sure, but I think it looks as good or better than the BE-BH's.

I LIKE IT!!!

Very nice, however I find the headlights a little too simple looking. I like the current gen lights. Still very nice though.

After reading the post so far I took another good look to see what I didn't like about the car. There isn't a thing. It is beautiful. The best looking Legacy since the 95-99 GTs IMO. I wasn't a big fan of the current models. Too plain looking. This looks like a Legacy should I think.

The only thing I really don't care for is the round bubble jutting out on the bottom side of the lights. IMO it just interupts the lines and flow of the headlights.

That also makes it just about impossible to fix a bumper smashed in the front. You'll just have to buy a new bumper cover because the cost getting someone to fix that curved surface correctly would be more than buying a new one.

Here's a link to even more pictures. Sedan, interior and some different front and back shots. I really like the boot lid on the sedan.

It's a small screen but, here's the Legacy intro in Japan- 23 minutes. Has a cool little video intro, too.

This is the official Subaru Global site- http://www.subaru-global.com/

And the Legacy site- http://www.subaru.co.jp/legacy/gt/index_f.html

I love the new design. I do agree there are styling cues from the Acura RSX in the front. At least it's not the new Galant... ewww!!
