OK, I've got two friends with seperate subarus. One has a 92 with a slowly dying tranny, the other has a spare leftover 95 transmission. Is this a match made in heaven?

From what I seem to recall, the harnesses (physically on the tranny) are slightly different from 92 to 95, but I assume those can ...

Most Legacy stuff is from a '90 or a '91. The RS brakes are an upgrade for the SS guys, but it's just the calipers I've got. (They do fall under the $5 list!)

Yup, everything left has to go, so it's all $5. I'd rather not pitch it in the trash, but that's what's next here. I've got maybe 3 days to get rid of this junk:

-2.2 plug wires
-2.2 injectors (for the 90-93 Legacy, lower mileage) SOLD
-91 Legacy rear struts/springs/tophats
-coolant cast from 1.8 ...

I've got one, but I'm not local by a long shot.

Sorry, I'm not sure what the part number is. There don't seem to be any markings on it indicating what it's from.

From a '91. Don't think its a bolt on for turbo cars, it's from a NA.

Well, as far as the tranny itself is concerned, there is no difference.

The hydro tranny's come with a different clutch fork, that's about it.

Is hydro push the same as cable push?

Reading more into the situation I'd heard that all 95+ had either a hydro push (NA) or a hydro pull (turbo). Someone care to enlighten me?

Well, that's not true either. What makes the tranny push or pull is the clutch fork/tob/pressure plate setup ...

RS transmissions are all hyrdo, its not hard to make them cable though.

I've got one with 8k, $75.
