The 92 and 93 models were speed limited by teh CPU based on RPMs, and the later models were limited by the CPU based on vehicle speed. I guess they figured ~154mph was a little quick, and decided to cut the speed off before the rev limiter :lol: :D .

junkie, just looking at your grocery list of mods, I know your car must be pretty damn quick. I was modeling my mod ladder after yours when I had my legacy. I honestly think that stock for stock you're at least as quick as a forester XT. and you still have a LOT of room to mod

I kinda doubt it's the rear main too. I've never heard of one going in a suby as far as I can remember. which is why I was so speculative on how it would manifest itself. It's my best guess given the way she's describing it :oops: . certainly worth checking tho.

check where the engine meets the tranny. look through the little window where you can see the torque converter. I'm pretty sure if there's oil on it that would be your rear main seal. I dunno... never seen a rear main seal leak firsthand but I imagine some oil would end up on ...

I feel I should point out that subafreak is currently running a plain ol' EJ22 with a turbo from an EJ22T in his Loyale. I think he's even still using stock EJ22 engine management, too.

The NA EJ22 doesn't respond well to turbocharging. you can't expect much of a gain unless you put some time, money, and a lot of effort into it. in all honesty, dropping an EJ22t into it will be cheaper and easier than turbo'ing it.

THAWA has it right. auto is 50/50 in 1st and starts to change over in second. it's 90/10 through 3rd and 4th. but it'll snap righ tback to 50/50 if it detects slip.

MT is 55/45 f/r in all gears

See my comment in your other thread in the electrical forum. I think your problem may be your TPS. It's a quick check, and at least you can scratch it off your list of likely suspects if it's not broken.

Hey man, why not check your TPS just for kicks? if it's screwy, that may be your problem. the computer does indeed calculate timing and fuel delivery based on TPS inputs. TPS is VERY important. prolly more so than the o2 sensor.

YEah, I meant those alloys on the XT turbo. That's just what popped in my head when you said "XT6 rims." cause I didn't bother to put 2 and 2 together. Math. bleh.

but yeah. those XT6 rims look nice. it's a good alternative to WRX rims or RS rims.
