vf-12 on my '91
Could the shaft bushing fail and rotate inside its housing?. Had a loud screeching sound that went away after about 15 sec., then noticed heavy smoke out exhaust pipe. Have done no diagnosis, just went home and parked it.

Re: Mike's 92 SS
I would not drill it for an extractor. Too risky. If the extractor breaks off in there you got to take it to a shop anyway at that point. If you have experience in drilling out broken bolts, do it yourself. If you have the trade knowledge and use good shop practice, you know what is involved. If you...

Re: New axle stuff
Replace both axles with new ones. Just replacing the boots and stuffing fresh grease in there is not a good idea. You don't know how long the joints have been exposed to the elements, grit, dirt, etc. Also, this is a driveline thread, and should have been posted in the Driveline topic. One of our ha...

The chip for our cars is designed to read the TPS voltage in a different way than the one for a 20G, remember. Might apply.

Re: Odd Cruise Control Behavior
Josh, while on cruise control, since my 6 speed swap, DCCD Pro, install, have a slight hunting issue. While watching the boost gage, it will go from around -11 to -8, then back. Of course the car will speed up some and then slow down some. I just assume it is the chip in the DCCD Pro controller and ...

Certainly welcome. Congratulations to Russia for a great Olympic Games production. Inside the black ABS box there are two relays, one for abs motor, one for valves, service manual tells how to test.

Re: header/up pipe/downpipe for ej22t
There are tons of STi header, catless up pipes, for after market that fit. Agency Power for one, don't use their solid UP though. Get a UP with a flex section in it, will align for sure.

Mike Tracy said to replace the temp sending unit, $32, couldn't hurt to have a fresh one in there getting good data.

Re: Correct tire pressure?
I recently had a discussion with someone about tire pressures. The other person said he inflates his tires to the max pressure indicated on the tire sidewall. He wanted better gas mileage. I believe it was around 45psi. I suggested he use what the car manufacturer, in this case Subaru, states to use...

You don't have an issue, just the wrong top hats to match up to those Impreza springs. Get some used top hats for an Impreza from a j/y, or NASIOC, etc. They will be good and you won't have to spend the money on new ones. http://i1346.photobucket.com/albums/p698/fastrs25/IMG_7320_zpsafb9019d.jpg for...
