Took it down to midas and had it up on the rack and was describing the symptoms, and the mechanic hits the rear catalytic converter, and it rattles. Vacuum gage & exhaust pressure?
I got a vacuum gage and taped it to a winshield wiper, hooked it to the big vacuum tap on top of the EJ22 just behind the coil pack, downstream of the throttle.
