ok so i deleted the resonator box, replaced with a straight tube and created a T junction to run the PVC tube and now it's all going fine. it's def sucking more cold air in.

i see... so how do i know how much water it should be in that water to air intercooler tank that's attached to the TB? is it supposed to be only filled with purified/mineral water? cheers

thanks for all the input:) much appreciated. while still on the subject, how does the factory legacy scoop fixed on the bonnet? is there any screws or bolts or nuts? thinking of fitting a larger scoop to catch more cold air in.

i see so the sole purpose is to keep the under bonnet temp down? in that case why don't other car manufactures do it?

yeah, it(MR2) had a cronic over heating problem, 15mins into driving and the temp gauge shoot past the high mark then, the radiator overflow bottle boils and you can hear screaming sound coming from the radiator fill cap, sound like a teapot and within 2 mins of all that, it would steam like a steam...

after spending some time looking under the bonnet of my GT, i noticed that the air that the bonnet scoop collects feeds it down a chimney that sits directly on top of the turbo and internal wastegate. now what is the point of that? cos before i have this subbie i always thought the scoop was to feed...

only reason i put lick me is cos the red colour reminds me of candy apple:D have to take more pics later when i do get a day that doesn't rain.

i see, so does it matter or not whether that PVC tube is connected at the resonator box or whether it's connected to one of the holes that's on the 90 degree bend just before the turbo's air intake? as it is still after the air flow meter. cheers.
