Hi Josh -5 months later response (and bump)...the coolant and purge (?) sensors are both right there where the turbo and its intake sit. I can reposition them, but easier to just extend the wiring, IMHO, since they otherwise fit the same.
I'm building another EJ22E with EJ22T heads (thanks ...

Re: 91 SS oil cooler - need photos
HI,
Sorry - no photos, but I thought the '02-'07 WRX* was the same/similar, if that helps. I believe the WRX's waterpump (w/the extra port to the oil cooler) was the same as the '91 SS?

Re: engine crank won't start and Injectors won't pulse,
HI, how long was the battery sitting in the car - not being used? If it was connected in the car to positive and ground (earth) and wasn't being used the battery will drain/discharge. It can be damaged and won't take a charge, depending on how long it was there without being charged periodically.

JC probably knows for sure, but I think the ECU/ECM needs to sense spark for the injectors to pulse.

Thanks to Josh and Dave!
Extra ShoutOut to JC for all his assistance over the years. Thru the turbo swaps, 5-speed swaps, wiring (OMG I still hate wiring), etc. questions - Thank-you!
Just checked and I've been a member for 16 years in May. Wowza!
And yeah, FB is a poor substitute.

My '90 had the ceramic white. When I went turbo'd, I found a '91 pearl white hood (with scoop).
The Automotive Touchup site shows these, which I think are factory #'s:
057 Ceramic White
075, 975 Mica White/White Pearl

"What Josh Said"...and I'd be suspect of the wiring @ the ECU.
If the PO did a full harness swap, then the wiring should be there to the ECU, but since there are only about 6 wires extra for the Turbo's ECU, it's possible they just added them for the Turbo Sensors – On passenger strut tower:

Yeah...those are scammers getting you to buy 'their' report. And anyone who gets 'mad' is another bad sign. And the Buyer is responsible for the VIN report unless you're @ a dealer, in my experience.

I'd also vote for CTS issue.
FWIW, my '98 Forester - very similar setup to yours (a different TPS and ECU - ok kinda different) - had similar issues. Idled fine, ran fine above 3K, but mine would stutter and hesitate to accelerate from 1500-3K. I fount two possible causes:
