Turbo Sold.
Someone take the DOHC heads.... these are nicely port and polished by Subyswamper a while back. These heads have the 49cc combustion chambers.

Re: Purchasing oil piston squirters
I need some washers as well. I am capping off the squirters, but want to use proper washers under a shouldered bolt.
I am going to measure the old ones and see if I can find a copper or aluminum washer of same size....maybe on McMaster-Carr

Re: Stainless Steel Turbo Inlet/Coffee Can Mod
There is a silicon coupler between the MAF housing and this component. It will work fine with the stock ECU, no tune required.

I'm hoping I'll never have the pedals out again....what a pain that was.

Re: Manual pedal swap help.
Sorry for no pics.
I just finished the 4EAT to 5mt swap and the clutch works great. Feels the same as when it was in the RSTi. I will not worry about the one missing bolt in the pedal mounting bracket at this point.
I forgot how good these cars feel with a manual transmission.

Re: Newer 5MT Push Style Clutch w/ 3.9 FD
The 06 LGT transmission I have still uses the speedo gear but with an electronic VSS. I thought you could just remove the electronic sensor and insert a mechanical attachment for the speedo cable. I have not attempted this yet, but will in the next few weeks. I can report on the compatibility. I kno...

Re: Manual pedal swap help.
More issues... I have installed all of the mounting bolts, except the 3rd clutch master cylinder mounting bolt.....it's still 3/8" off. The master cylinder stud nuts are tight, but from the inside of the cabin I can feel threads on the studs on the inside of the firewall. Assembly seems crooked...

Re: Manual pedal swap help.
I think I solved the issue. I took a peek at my RS to see how that harness is routed on a manual car. There is a cavity above the harness (the harness was obstructing it originally) that I could move and force it into. That being said, it was not easy....20+ years of heat and gravity forces solidifi...

Manual pedal swap help.
Currently midst 4EAT to 5mt swap, I am running into a problem swapping 5mt pedals (06 WRX) in to my 93 Legacy Turbo. I muscled the 5mt pedal set almost into position, but there seems to be a giant wiring harness in the way of the clutch master cylinder mounting bracket on the pedal set. I can see it...

Re: Removing PCV system?
In my opinion, it is important to retain a good vacuum on the system when manifold is in vacuum conditions. I once plugged off the PCV only, retaining vacuum in boost, and found a lot of water moisture mixed with oil in the form of 'cheese' all through the breather lines. If this amount moisture get...

Idea to stage a 4EAT to 5mt swap
I am currently in the process of strategy preparation for a 4ETA to 5mt swap on my 93 Turbo Wagon. Since I am running a Haltech Standalone ECU, there is no communication to the TCM. I had an idea of starting to swap the systems and retain the car as a daily driver. I mainly want to stage the swap be...

12v at injectors with key off on turbo Legacy models?
So I have noticed a strange situation troubleshooting my new swap in the Turbo Legacy. I noticed that there is 12v at all times at the injectors with no keys in the ignition. I looked through the FSM wiring diagrams, and it seems that this is correct. The yellow 12v wire is routed directly from the ...

Re: 22T/205 Hybrid crankcase breather problem
If you do plug it, make sure it's in there nice and tight with the proper size freeze plug. One of my friends plugged his ej257 port with a plug that was just a little small (std vs metric). It leaked oil and the only way out was into the crankcase and fish it out of the oil pan....sketchy maneuver ...

Re: 22T/205 Hybrid crankcase breather problem
Pull it out and tap in a freeze plug. Or get a STi crossover pipe from a Subi recycler....that should not be that much, maybe $40
If you look through my build thread there might be better pics of the crossover pipe shape, than the one I posted for you on Nasioc.

Re: 300/350 HP EJ22T?
Stock long block with standalone ECU, fuel system, turbo and TMIC upgrade at 18-20 psi on E85 made 330tq/275hp. The heads don't like to make hp, just torque....which is OK (torque is really what you want). But the transmission does not like that much torque that quick. Swap heads to DOHC and you can...

Mine gets stuck in park too. The shift lock override gets stuck as well. I need to wiggle the shift knob while pressing on the button at the same time as I press hard on the shift lock override button.
