I checked tiing but it seems fine, hasnt jumped, all timing marks match up.
anyone else have any ideas?

eep! When I bought the car it had a blown head gasket so I had replaced the gasket, machined heads etc and had redone timing from scratch, the belts brand new, i'd be suprised if thats what happened but i'll check it out. I still think its something to do with the spark nd power getting to the coil....
