Re: Seals at rear of cylinder head?
Thanks, I'm swapping the engine out for one that recently had the front cam seals, timing belt, rear main seal, and valve cover gaskets. They got them all except these two! Figured while the engine was easy to get at I'd get them. The passenger side does look like it was leaking some. I strikes me o...

Seals at rear of cylinder head?
Hello, quick question here. Who can tell the the name of the seals that are located at the rear of each cylinder head? There is one on the driver's side of my EJ22 that is a round rubber seal that can be clearly seen here: https://lh3.googleusercontent.com/-5oUdvGtVX6w/TygP6FD6wHI/AAAAAAAAAd4/HGsf5P...

Would consider trade on a 20-22mm front sway bar to fit a NA legacy.

Re: FS: 1991 Legacy Racing shell (light weight)
Can you still bolt up the standard rear subframe?
Any chance you could shoot it with primer and deliver to Syracuse, NY ???
Pics of of the front of the roll cage/dash area from inside the car would be helpful, too.

Re: Stock STi springs
The nice thing about these springs is you keep decent suspension travel, letting your struts do their job correctly. lowering your suspension too much can cause problems. If your always hitting the bump stops, your not really getting the best performance out of the suspension. It may look hot to be ...

Re: Amalgamated 93 suspension, thoughts?
Looking at the pics here, I'm saying not possible:

Option of running a stub axle from the AWD half shaft in a AWD rear hub looks like the only way to make it work. Not sure that would pass tech inspection for my purpose.

Re: Amalgamated 93 suspension, thoughts?
Koni for FWD rear struts are no longer available. Looks like I have my terminology mixed up in my previous post. Let me start over with what I have and what I want: I have a 93 legacy FWD, with rear discs. I have 2006 STi springs I'd like to use with a strut that can handle the spring rate. Looks li...

Re: Amalgamated 93 suspension, thoughts?
Good news and bad. Springs came today, yeah! PM'd a vendor about the koni's and they said the rear inserts have been discontiued. :-( Just sent a message to KoniUSA to verify. But the vendor has been reliable in the past.. So.. Where to now? Can I change the rear hubs to AWD and have everything else...

Re: Questions Regarding A Nice Brake Upgrade
The LGT brake set up is quite bit heavier than the FHI 4/2 set up. not only in the caliper, but the rotor is massive. That's a good thing to soak up heat and avoid fade, but means you got to get that mass turning when accelerating. Also being able to stay with a 16 wheel with the 4/2 setup means a p...

Re: Amalgamated 93 suspension, thoughts?
Reviving this old thread... Ok I have found a set of stock STi springs for cheap enough. Has anyone done a spring swap on a FWD legacy? I know I'll need 90-91 rear tophats or use wrx 04-07 tophats and modify the mounting holes. Struts are a problem. But still considering the AGX for the front struts...

I'm looking for a stock 18mm RSB that will fit my 93 legacy. I'd also consider a cheap Aftermarket used RSB.

Re: brake uprgrade question
Should have said this earlier, but the STi MC won't bolt up to the LGT BB, that's why you change both on the LGT. On a earlier legacy you can probably just switch the MC out and avoid the check valve deletion problem.

Re: brake uprgrade question
There is a check valve in the vac line from the bb to the intake manifold on the sti. The legacy gt booster has the valve in the bb. If you just swap the bb from a sti into a lgt you have no way to keep boost in the manifold from bleeding vacuum out of the bb. ie boost to brake is oh $&@! moment!

Re: brake uprgrade question
You'll need spacers or different wheels to clear brembos most likely.... They won't fit under the stock 05-06 LGT wheel without spacers. Some 17x8's will work, there's a list on nasioc.

Re: brake uprgrade question
Oh, one more note: LGT's have a known "soft brake pedal" feel. Some folks are really bothered by it. You can bleed them, upgrade fluid, SS lines, performance pads and it gets a bit better. It turns out we were cheated on the MC diameter. Our big heavy cars with big brakes got the smallest ...

Re: brake uprgrade question
Legacy GT brakes and Spec B LGT have the same brakes, 05-09. They should fit under 17x7.5's. Fronts and rears should bolt right up. It's a lot of brake in the set up. I've toyed with going to brembos on my LGT, but the performance gain is minimal. Mainly, if your having fade it's time to go to bremb...
