Thanks for the info,
I will hit the junk yard this week and see what is available.
Update: I just received a pair of 2002+ Impreza front seats.
Not knowing how the seat belts are going to be affected, I want to know if anyone 'swapped' seats with the auto belts before? And how was it?

Re: 94 Gen 1 Wagon / braces and springs?
I will take a few snaps of the car later this afternoon, re: brace, and engine wobbles.
Thank you Josh for answer our questions.
Yes, it seems like sealer and not welding material.

Re: Whining sound, leaky hose?
No, is a NA car.
It sounds like it happens only above certain RPM's at a higher range.

Whining sound, leaky hose?
Whenever I let go of gas, I can hear a high pitch whiney noise.
It seems to be coming from the drive side of the engine, near the back.
I looked at all the hoses, seems to be clamped properly and no physical damage.
Any ideas?

Re: wobbly pulley?
I noticed the holes, I will need to find something, perhaps a special tool for it?
PS: I noticed my pulley and belt rubbing against the timing belt cover, causing it to smoke a little, I tightened the covers up a little, but I don't think is a perm solution.
Assuming the pulley is at 140 lbs ...

Seat belts updates?
I have a USDM car with auto seat belts. I seriously HATE those.
On top of that, the 18 years old seat belts seems to be giving me a rash every time it wraps around my shoulder. Disgusting?

Thanks for the picture.

disabling fuel pump?
I am trying to replace my fuel filter,
However, I cannot find the 'plug' to the fuel pump.
I've managed to remove the rear bench (2bolts) from my 94's Wagon,
I lifted the seat up and no plugs connectors.
I've been reading this thread - http://bbs.legacycentral.org/viewtopic.php?f=5&t=25180 ...

Re: wobbly pulley?
The wobble came back,
I played with the tensioner, seems to have NO effect on the wobble at the moment.
I will tried torquing it down with a 22mm socket, however, the wheel keeps spinning, how does one tighten the crank pulley bolt?

What's the condition on the front bumper cover?
I am interested if all the tabs are still there, and nothing is broken.

Re: 94 Gen 1 Wagon / braces and springs?
Thanks Josh,
I've put in a GC8 front tower brace. However the mount's don't sit in a flushed manner as the Wagon's shock mount has a bit of 'weld' bulge. Would that be a concern? I am thinking if driven hard enough, the pressure on the tower bar would press against the welds and damaging the ...

Re: wobbly pulley?
Alright guys, I am a bit stumped.
Do I just need to retighten the pulley as is without removing anything?
Do I need to buy a used pulley?
Do I need a new bolt and key?
What would be the cost of the wobble?

Re: wobbly pulley?

I stole one of your pics that shows the engine.
It seems that you took off the crank pulley and that was wobbly - for me.
Was it a pain to install? Mind you my engine is still in the car.

Re: wobbly pulley?
Wait, are you talking about the idler behind the timing covers? They're all the same size. If that's wobbling you need to replace that immediately. It will eventually seize up on you and your belt with skip timing and that's never good.

I think my harmonic balancer is ok - I should be more specific.
I was referring to the big pulley UNDER the AC condenser.

wobbly pulley?
Hi guys,
I noticed the biggest pulley (don't know the name) on the bottom that is connected with the alternator is wobbly.
I cannot get a small enough socket + ratchet in there to tighten it.
thoughts? Is it safe? The wobble is noticeable when car is running, I would say about a 5mm off centric ...
