Hmmm....It really is a weird thing happening, logic would say that the exact opposite of what's happening should be what's happening. I would see if turning the blower fan on and off has any effect on it (ie. when the fan is turned off, the needle goes back down, that would be the only electrical ...

Hmmm.....Those 22-RE's are pretty durable motors, i wouldn't worry too much. Does the gauge stay up, or go back down after a while? Also, how quickly does the gauge go up after the knob is turned, instantly or does it take time. My guess would be something to do with the headgasket replacment, but i ...

Fortunately for me, i learned a few things when i put a GT-Four (JDM All-Trac) motor in my FWD Celica  . The new turbo is now on the All-Trac and i am buttoning the rest of the things up. For $2850, even with a dent and a blown turbo i couldn't say no. It also came with a few goodies (S-AFC II ...

Thanks for all the responses guys, i was honestly expecting a few "All-Trac, what the hell is that?". I do miss my Legacy a little (especially after taking the turbo out of the All-Trac today  ), but i know my brother will love it, even though it isn't exactly what he was looking for at the ...

Had a happy, yet little sad day today
This all started this week. I was looking through the buying and selling section of Celica.net for a 3 piece spoiler for my Celica when I found it...A 1991 Toyota Celica All-Trac. It was white, had a dent behind the driver's door and a blown turbo. The price was right though. Today i finally got the ...

I would have to agree that the TDO4 will push more air above than the VF-10/11. I still want to see a compressor map for a TDO4 before i jump on one of the bandwagons (ie. whether its a good upgrade or not). I for one am going to seriously look into it though. I have been thinking that the seals are ...

The only problem i see about using a different MAF would be the fact that the values may be different. Lets say that 200g/s on our stock MAF translates roughly to 4.5volts. Ok, now say you swap a z32 MAF into your car and try to run it without any sort of "translation" equipment. Maybe the z32 MAF ...

At this track, the launching was particularly hard, I think that had quite a bit to do with the times they were getting. The staging area was on an angle so that the cars would roll back while you were waiting for the green light. Other than that, it was a blast. It was especially good to get away ...

Matt, I should be out in Williamsport sometime friday evening. I might stay with one of my friends there that night, but i haven't talked to him yet. If not, i may either drive back to State College, or stay with you guys if you don't mind another person there. I can't wait, this sounds like its ...

Clutch Master Cylinder Problems?
Hey everyone, i finally got the old clutch in my Legacy replaced for a ACT Street kit, and I think i may have found the reason why the old one went bad in the first place. I have noticed that whenever the car is cold, the ACT clutch is really easy to push in, but gets harder as the car gets hot ...

I'm also in engineering and i can say that Calc 1 was the easiest math i took in college. Calc II and higher are stupid hard unless you take the time to really understand the material. I'm just glad that i got them all over with, i find that not too much more than algebra and trig is used in most of ...

BAC, i'm feeling the same 9 psi kick that you do, it only seems to happen sometimes though. As for wiring the FCD under the hood, i can send you a pic of my setup if you want, i didn't feel like trying to find the wires under the dash when i installed mine. I know it gets hotter under the hood than ...
