Re: High pitch noise ONLY when idling? video
Hi Bobsaget, I reckon the noise actually started just before a head gasket / clutch job (as well as a transmission noise that is annoying me at highway speeds) The clutch kit is of very good quality (Exedy) and the TOB does not appear to be causing this pitch noise or it would change / stop when th...

Re: High pitch noise ONLY when idling? video
What have you checked so far? I've had a noise similar to this and it ended up being a bad tensioner pulley. The sound was also high pitched and only occured at idle speed. The only difference was that it was more of an intermittent noise and not a constant screech. It might be worth checking if you...

Re: Oil Leaking Into Spark Plug Holes
I've driven the car about 50 miles or so since the gasket replacement and the spark plugs are completely dry. It looks like you called it Josh! Thank you!

Re: Oil Leaking Into Spark Plug Holes
No, the fact cylinder 2 didn't have oil in it doesn't really indicate anything. When you do the valve cover gaskets make sure to replace the grommets that the bolts go through that hold on the valve cover. Also, on the driver's side replace the o-ring for the oil filler tube. Yup! I did replace tho...

Re: Oil Leaking Into Spark Plug Holes
I guess my first question would be is, are the valve cover gaskets leaking? Was there oil in all the spark plug holes or just certain ones? My suggestion would be to address any known oil leaks first and then monitor to see if you're still getting oil in the spark plug holes. It's possible the oil ...

Oil Leaking Into Spark Plug Holes
Hi! I was hoping someone might have some ideas about an issue my car seems to be having. A couple months back, I bought a '92 SS with 198000 miles, manual trans, td04 upgrade and FMIC. Just today I got to doing a spark plug job and when I pulled the old ones out, I found them covered in oil. For mos...

Re: Clock Spring & Column Switch Compatibility
Hi, everyone! So sorry to have missed all of the replies given! I didn't realize anyone had posted since my last reply. I appreciate the help. I was fortunate, though, to eventually find a spring out of a '94 TW so it all plugged right in. Thanks again, everyone!

Of course! I completely spaced that. Thank you.
It's a USDM 1994, awd, N/ALegacy L wagon. Does that cover the necessary info? Let me know if I need to specify anything else. Thanks for the reply.

Clock Spring & Column Switch Compatibility
I'm wondering if anybody has any knowledge about clock springs and column switches from 2nd gen Legacy's fitting and functioning in our cars. I've recently snapped my clock spring wires (horns stopped working, air bag light, and no cruise control) :? and my column switch has been broken since I got ...
