I hate the look of the stick shift boot on our cars(sorry!). I like the look of shift boots almost all new cars have...where the leather kinda goes down below the level of the console and then comes back up...I hope someone knows what I mean...

I just bought a cheap universal leather boot I found on eBay and made it fit my car like that. I've described what I did in some older posts, I think.
In addition to looking a lot better, it also feels a lot better than stock.

paint the stock one black if it isn't already. Krylon semi-flat black looks great. That and a black WRX leather knob fixed me right up (the blue plastic looked like sh!t)
