stupid question needs help

Post by jilo860 »

ok ii just finished putting a new 4eat in the legacy. after much frustration its in, well now im left with 2 problems, stupid ones. i forgot where the yellow striped ground line goes to (starting and charging harness, coming from neg side of battery). i know its a chassis or trans ground but where does it go to? also im left with a unused connector. this is the really stupid part because its not terribly hard to find the other end usually but i swear it dissapeaed. its on the main harness right next to the torque mount, 4 wire connector. i know i know just look some more, well im gonna. any help would be appreciated.
flame all you want i do really deserve it.......

Ok. Coming from the positive terminal, there are 3 wires. Two are bundled and 1 is black with a yellow stripe. That black one goes to the negative terminal. From that black one there is another black/yellow cable which goes to a grounding mount above the left headlight. Near the starter there are two wires. The one goes to the starter, the black/yellow one goes to a tranny ground right near the intersection of the engine and the tranny.
