looks like it is connected to the ABS, and from there to the ignition.
when you turn your car on, you can hear the abs lines start up.
pretty sure that's what that is.

If you follow the wire on the seat, it goes to the seat belt buckle. I think it's supposed to be tied into the seat chime, but on my car, I don't believe it does anything......

subarunation-i dont believe i have abs. but i do hear something when starting up. before i crank the engine, when the key is just in the on position, the position that lets you get the check engine codes, i hear a noise. it sounds more like a pump.
josh-i wasnt talking about that. i am talking about the connections next to the door. they are currently connected. the seat belt wire is disconnected because i dont have the stock seat belts or the stock seat anymore.

Nope, the brake lines run on the passenger side of the car.SubaruNation wrote:ahem,
these are abs lines. they have to be
the other thing you might be hearing is either the brake booster or maybe the PS pump.
Those lines are the fuel supply, fuel return, and evaporative emissions lines.

What you're hearing is your fuel pump pressurizing the system.slowjoe wrote:subarunation-i dont believe i have abs. but i do hear something when starting up. before i crank the engine, when the key is just in the on position, the position that lets you get the check engine codes, i hear a noise. it sounds more like a pump.
