Why would adding a downpipe and exhaust cause a car to detonate and run real funny when on boost? I have the stock turbo and running stock boost. The only thing I have thought is maybe the injectors need a good cleaning and the car is running lean. Any thoughts?
Jeff
I have replaced the knock sensor too with initial good results but now it seems to be going back to the way it was, but not as bad.

91 octane is about all you can get here. I will reset and see how it does.
Thanks, Jeff

Seems to be better, but still not perfect. Still runs alittle funny when the boost first comes up and then clears out. When I hear the thing gargle I know now that it is the knocking. Couldn't hear it until I had the windows down and a barrier to reflect the noise back at me.
