Ah so we have another BMW elitist on our hands?
Thanks Craig...
I don't generally race people past 100mph, because in Oregon its a $1000 reckless ticket...
And BMWs have very long gears, so my short gears and identical HP would whoop up...

That's because the 6-speed ratios suck more than Jenna Jamison.
A built 5-speed in a Subaru will go to 105mph in 3rd gear, and it's easy to out muscle an M3.

I had an M3 confused for a ford escort one night. He was reving at me and I was laughing at him. I launched when the light turned green then slowed down right away and took my time getting to the next light just to see what it was and the guy pulled up next to me with a shocked expression on his face and it turned out to be an older M3.

1988 BMW M3 7.1 15.4
1995 BMW M3 6.2 14.6
1996 BMW M3 Automatic 6.7 15.3
1996 BMW M3 Luxury 6.6 14.9
1998 BMW M3 Sedan 5.5 14.0
2002 BMW M3 4.7 13.4
Ok, Automatic '96 M3 is near stock Legacy Turbo territory...

You've got to remember there are other factors, mainly the driver, be it his skill with shifting or his willingness to redline it or not.
Plus, the stock EJ22T is a damn quick engine, if you are racing light to light (I'm thinking like the length of one city block) you'd have a pretty good chance on beating a lot of cars out there. Just imagine if all that power was going to 2 wheels...

Thanks for the backup guys!!
It was on the freeway, I came up on him at about 75mph, then I just stuffed it to the floor in 5th, and we pulled to 100 in about 2.5 seconds...
He downshifted to 4th, and was starting to pull on me a tiny bit, but had I actually kicked it into 4th it would have been game over!
I tried to get him to go for round 2, cause I was actually gonna legit go for it, but he wouldn't take the bait...
My EJ22T is quite heavily modded btw...

A stock automatic RX8 stayed with me, but couldn't pass me.
Although in my opinion, that doesn't say my car's fast, that just says RX8's are really fuggin slow

I bet a manual RX8 is a BIT faster than an AT.

Driven a manual RX8 and was VERY disappointed
Yeah, it's probably faster than my car, but it is no neck-snapper...

An enzo does 60-100 in about 3.3 seconds in it's peak powerband
Your car must be faster that I thought to be able to pull 2.5 seconds 75-100 in top gear.
btw, automatic m3's are pigs

killed by: everything

^^ was it a supercharged one?
anyways, to add to my kill list, a 95-99 eclipse GS. it was pretty slow. after first gear, i alrdy was about a car and a quarter in front. in second gear, i had pulled more than 2 car lengths on him. slowed down for construction, and after that, he did the fly-by.

Yeah, I have a friend the has an Eclipse GS, I totally thought it waas the 2wd turbo, I was kinda jealous, but yesterday when he popped his hood I noticed it was just N/A! I was very surprised. I thought most Eclipses with the bump in the hood were turbo...

All 2nd gen DSM's have hood-bulges.
Reminds me of a guy that used to work at Jiffy Lube. He would talk SO much shit. He had a ~2000 automatic VW Golf. He would talk up and down that it was a turbo. He said his turbo core was at Audi getting upgraded, and when I told him that the turbo is connected to the exhaust, he refuted me. He also said his turbo engine cover was cracked, so he put a 2.0L engine cover on it. No intercooler, no turbo manifold, no turbo, no turbo exhaust. The car wasn't a turbo. He tried to tell me, an owner of a turbo car, that it was turbo.
Finally, he "called me out" and said he'd put 2,000 dollars on a race. His "GTI" against my SS. I had a few mods then, just the intercooler at the time. My buddy, who at the time was acquaintences with the faker, stepped in and let him know that if he put up any money to race me, he'd lose horribly.
Now he's in the navy, and before he left, he put some wheels and altezzas on the car. Kind of a shame. He was a cool kid, and after my buddy pointed out that my car was faster, he was much cooler then. Never really talked shit to me (to my face) after that.

Took down some kind of new 3 series BMW the other night. The guy tried to to do the 'ol cut in line by passing bit and so I set him in his place. He didn't look very happy in the rear view mirror when he had to pull back in behind me.
Again, on wastegate boost.

Oh, I meant to say. I had an experience kind of like Phils a few years back too. I was at a friends house and this kid there was talking all sorts of smack about his car. He was going to upgrade to a stage 3 turbo, racing exhaust, semi-race flywheel, yadayada. The kid had obviously been playing too much GT.

I asked him about brands and he was trying to convince me that it was just stage 3 ect.. and that he knew what he was talking about.
He left a little while later and we were all outside so I asked to see his setup. This was some kind of '80's pre-festiva Ford thing. A little 2-door hatch. Anyways, he pops the hood and starts playin' it off about how much of a sleeper this thing is and I jokingly said "yeah, it's such a sleeper it looks just like a carburated N/A!" He laughs and says " I know isn't it awesome. I about shit my pants I laughed so hard. He didn't even realize I was making fun of him. This car had the smallest 4 banger I've ever seen in it....it might have actually been a 3 cylinder like the festiva but I don't remember. It was like a B&S lawnmower engine. Totally N/A, the kid was fool.
So as he gets in his car I say, "dude, hammer it when you leave so I can see the POW3R!" He gets all excited and then pulls out and hammers it. It was so sad and yet so funny. The thing sounded like a moped and probably took a full 12 seconds to even hit about 60 mph.
Oh yes, it was a funny day.

I tried too.
I couldn't help but think "wow, that's my new ECU"
Oh well. It's rare I get messed with anymore. Cars are either slower, or WAY faster than me.

All Festivas were 4cyl though
It's boring to me when people talk shit about cars now. I've heard so much for so long that I just ignore it.

shoguns are so bad ass!
festivas are pretty cool in their own right, once you put a different engine in them such as B6t or BP. they are some really light cars.

Oh, maybe it was that tiny Geo or Chevys festiva like car that had a 3 cylinder.
