I'd personally like a short throw shifter which maintains the same height of the stock shift lever.. similar to the STi short shift kits (as far as I know the only one which works on our cars.. correct me if I'm wrong) but around half the price

I just can't justify spending $400+ CAD for something which isn't all that hard to make, but if you were able to produce them cheaply I'd be all over it.

Some nice rear wing options would be cool too. A front bumper made for a FMIC would be nice

Wow, quite a response. I was lookin at some bumpers we have the other day for the next bodystyle Leg. Thinkin they might not be too hard to modify, Hmm. The shifters really all look the same to me (from underneath while doing clutches) anyone know why the later style shift throw kits dont fit? I've got a bunch of them for WRX's, and they've dropped right in a couple older Legs.(like 95/6 ish)

As for the headlights, I was thinking two peice mold, for the light carrier, out of carbon, or fiberglass, and sandwiching it behind the factory glass, ya. It would be cool, if the glass was removeable easilly, so you could sport the morette style too ya know? But it deffinately seems there enough intrest to make it worth my while.

Anybody rockin the Saab intercoolers? I was wondering if anyones welded two of them together, and got it to fit as a top mount?

I still havnt gotten my hands on the car yet, due to me not being able to find the title, or seats to the Rabbit I'm trading for it. So I havnt gotten started on anything yet, but I will soon. Whoo hoo

Correct me if I'm wrong, but isn't the "glass" you speak of actually plastic?

I think everyone is looking for a completely new headlamp setup.

Anyway if there would be a nice design thought up, I'd be in for the headlights.

The "glass" he speaks of is the one part on the car all of us hate the most. Id be happy with STOCK headlights and replacement "glass" to get rid of the dinge.

Yeah, but that's probably not realistic... Glass and plastic have different indices of refraction, so you couldn't just make a glass lens with the exact same geometry as the stock plastic one. It would be possible to design a glass lens to work right but would take more research and testing than is practical in my opinion.

I agree, I was just saying it to make the point that if we kept any part of the stock headlight it wouldnt be the plastic lens.

What about a fiberglass housing the same shape as the stock light that is made to fit xxxxx light (insert the best easily available unit)?

Yeah! To fit the Hella 90mm lights!

Cibie also makes 90mm lights in the exact same form factor as the Hellas, I believe; they're just hard to find and only sold in Europe.

With the different buckets it seems you could make a universal 90-94 unit too. The unit would be "square" like the 92-94 and a seperate plastic wedge or surround could be included to take up the extra space.

Unfortunenatly all my legacy and other legacy available to me are 90-91 so I cant look at it closer to determine how to make it universal.

bump... err i mean, if you still need ideas how about some suspension related products. Like some lower arm bars, crossmember bars, bars that connect the front and rear etc.

Wow, cant beleive this thread is still active, havnt posted in a long time

Due to my rally projects, the headlights are pretty far down the list. I was just looking at my yellow ass headlights today (even though I polished them a couple months ago) Thanks Subaru

For now, I just added some auxillary lighting, and due to Demand/vs startup expenses, its unlikely that I will be mass producing any headlight arrangements. Same goes with the hoodscoops.

BTW. The Morrettes are really shitty, not that I personally could mass produce such an Item for that cheap, Im just sayin,

Kelley, too bad that you won't be able to mass-produce headlights for our cars but it's certainly understandable. But thanks for letting us know.

vrg3, I just re-read your post about Cibie making the same 90 mm lights as Hella. Do you have any sources of info on them? I ask because in the past I've always seen Cibie and Marchal outperform Hellas on similarly made auxiliary lights and was wondering if it's the same with the 90mmers.

What's shitty about the Morettes, Kelly?

93Leg-c, I don't know much about the Cibie lights except that Morettes at some point used Cibie 90mm units and then switched to Hellas. Morettes are made in France, I think, so the market for parts is different from here. Usually Cibie lighting is the best you can get, so I imagine the change was made for cost concerns. That's just speculation though.

They would be MUCH better if they were HID.

Hmmm... I know how to fiberglass, maybe I should give a morette style setup a go... I could probably figure something out.

Umm... did he have them wired right? H9 and H7 bulbs are both more than adequate light sources for headlights; HIDs aren't necessary. I thought Morettes used the drop-in 90mm lights...

You mean dim to drive behind, right? Because good headlights do look dim to oncoming traffic.
