Carbon fiber's a thermal insulator, right? That could be nice on cold mornings...

Art, a friend once told me that the way to keep a woman in line is to withhold the meat. He would always slap one hand into the open palm of the other as if to punctuate everytime he said it. Me, I never had the nerve to try it...
I have two large Subaru racing posters from the dealers in my bedroom. 1993 Impreza 1000 Lakes Rally Debut and 1998 Monte Carlo.

You would think that the resin would block any ambient warmth from "heat-soaking" (for lack of better term) the seat. Plus, the resin itself is probably going to be cold to the touch.
Or maybe not?

Well, even poor conductors do eventually reach the same temperature as the rest of the room they're in, right?
The problem is that on cold mornings, that temperature is annoyingly cold. You don't feel it walking on carpet and walking through air because those are both poor conductors.

Laurel, I'm saying that a carbon fiber seat would be
better.

It would still be cold though, it would heat up faster (maybe over-heat?) but initially, it would still be cold.
Ever touch a carbon fiber hood on a cold evening? It's not the warmest thing in the world.
Plus, it would seem that the resin would be pretty slippery, so any sweat accumulation (from a hot summer day) would make for a very unomfortable session.
What I want, is a Titanium toilet seat.
