Don't know why it is FLYING SO FAST.........................

I have two 1991 2.2 Turbo Sport Coupes this one just plain ass flies........ I want to bring it to get it dynoed. I tap the throtte and the twin turbos spin up and there is a hiss and a pop between shifts as well. I can put it to the floor and the rev's go to 7K and bounce at like 7.2K..... Am having a lot of fun blowing the doors of WRX's in the quarter. When it shifts the revs drop only 500 or so in each shift. Someone said the Sport Sedans have a single turbo.... mine is a twin... Same engine as this one here....

You sure know your Subarus! That twin turbo version is superrare! It was only sold in California for 3 days due to a mistake on the shipping departments end! They are worth close to 20K! Don't lose it. Those are crazy awesome numbers for a domestic stock twin turbo! Banging Power Dude!

Well, what you're describing is a foreign market rhd tt legacy. However, you've already demonstrated you don't really know what you're talking about/ don't know a thing about a imported and rare car. So, lying to attract attention, or somehow wandered across an imported car and got it without having a clue. Would you mind giving a little background information on this either rare or imaginary vehicle?

Twin Turbo Legacy............. RHD

Swapping in a B4 EJ20-TT is best reserved for the right hand drive non-turbo Legacy boys (and girls). I believe you need a custom exhaust manifold if you would like to run the twins. And having it custom kind of defeats the purpose of doing the swap. My suggestion would be to stick with the single turbo EJ20 swap. Then you just need to deal with the details of the swap itself and not how to re-engineer the entire setup.

If you do a full swap with transmission and all, I think you need a new transmission crossmember, but I could be mistaken. You will also want to get the full EJ20 wiring harness because the auto tranny ECU's expect a TC signal (atleast the RS's do). Go here (http://www.nothingserious.net/links.html#Personal) and look at the Project EJ20 link.

Oh, and TRP (Tony Rigoli Performance) did a B4 swap (http://www.autospeed.com/A_0882/page1.html) into an Impreza. But that is the only full swap I know of. Read the article and you will notice some of the quirks they had with the ECU. This article is brought to you by a little car that blows the doors off of WRX's..

Why do you keep making posts that just fail to quote someone else's post?

Are you going to delete Scott's post now, too, like you did THAWA's?

Posted: Wed Oct 20, 2004 2:54 am
by THAWA
he didn't do that as he's not a mod or admin.

I thought we could delete posts in our own threads... That's not the case?

the only post you can delete is the last one you've made, then once it's deleted the one before it, and so on.

Here's a pic of this RHD Legacy TT off his own link to pictures of his car:

Obviously GT8 is completely full of crap and has no idea what he his talking about.

GT8- You've been called out, why don't you just bow out and leave graciously.

LHD Legacy does not come out with URL... Hmmmm?????

Why bow out... Bow out of what???

I know what I have..... and when I get the numbers from FHI it will be sold to a bidder that is eager to see those numbers... I know the 1991 LHD 2.2 Sport Coupe wlll sell for at least $6000.00... I was told my 1991 TT Legacy is worth close to 20K.... Anyone want to buy nmy Mclaren it is going up for sale in 2005 for $31,000.00

So first you have two '91 SS's that are the same. Then you say you're running quarters in the one you're showing at 14.8. Then it's bumped up to 14.2 and is suddenly a twin turbo RHD. Now, ones a LHD SS and one is a RHD-TT . Ya, ok buddy. Even if it was a '91 that somehow made it over here from over seas and was sold it wouldn't be a TT. It'd have a VF-8 or possibly a VF-12 single turbo EJ20G.

Why don't you just post a picture of your 18 Subarus all together and a couple different shots of this RHD TT (including an engine bay shot) with it sitting next to your other car, hmmm. Lets see that.

I hate getting into arguments, but I call bs. There are only three TT legacys in the US and one of them was used as a parts car. Now if you do the math, there are only two left and I know who both the owners are. Also, those numbers are a little hard to believe. Sure you could be running those times, but for some reason I can't believe it. The twin turbo is such a bad design by Subaru. It has the biggest turbo lag gap imaginable! It even has a nickname for the gap, but I can't remember, lol. I myself have thought about doing this swap and even done a bunch of research. But you come to find out that many people with the twin turbo set up tend to go to a single turbo set up.

If you post a time slip and some pictures then I will definitely believe you (and no photoshopping)!

That's my $.02

Mine's the rarest Legacy here - N/A turbo block fwd 1990 5MT wagon. It must be worth 20-20k at least. Especially with the high mileage as that adds character and proves it's not a lemon.

No DAMNIT!!! I have the rarest! I have the only SC 1990 Rio Red Wagon located in the 97206 Zip Code! I am constanly being badgered by car collectors world over to give it up! I offered it on Ebay for $39,500 but forgot to set of PayPal and couldnt accept the final winning bid of $69K! Do you hear me? I was offered $69 thousand dollars but couldnt take it because of a stupid computer!

Since the E-Bay fiasco, I have modified the SC to push over 20 pis and have gotten it down to sub 11's and they wont let me run at PIR anymore without a roll cage.

DAMN!

Well, I have no turbo lag or parasitic losses to a compressor which allows me to run 9.60 @ 160 mph with a reaction time of -.025.

I've had people camp out on my porch with those offers, but I'm holding out for 25 yrs so that it will be an antique and worth millions! Move over Duesenbergs and LeMans winning Ferraris, there's a new record setter coming up in ten years.

I actually have a drawing of a car done by a Japanese child name Subaru Ohuki. It is done in blue crayon on rice paper. This is an "art" car of the rarest type. I have it framed in blue anodized aluminium bolted to the Subaru of Fame wall with 5 mm hex bolts.

The picture of the car is of the 1979 prototype turbo wagon that finally made it to the shores of Washington state to conquer the Mt Ranier SCCA Rally in 1980 through 1983. The actual picture is done in blue dyed rice, glue and glitter for the that "subaru" bling!
