my power-starved NA wagon actually handles pretty good in the snow with RE-92's. They are in good shape, though. very neutral handling, pretty good front / rear balance even under power

not quite as much fun in the snow as the BMW with michelin arctic alpins, but close. The BMW scrapes ass too often though, which the Legacy does not. I've also stopped shoveling my driveway, completely. That is worth the price of getting the Legacy going, all by itself.

I would like to try the Legacy with snows, that would be fun. If I sell the BMW I can fit those snows on stock Legacy steelies, 195/65/14

Yea, I convinced my dad to not make me shovel the driveway because everyone in my family has AWD or 4wd. Sweet :)

Heh, every car that we own, from the van to my Legacy to my dad's Contour to even the Mercury Capri is FWD. So usually we just gun it and blast out of the driveway, but if that doesn't work it's shoveling time. >.>
