^^^ hehe, I don't think either you or Phil needs to worry about that. You all have credibility and respect from us all but I certainly understand your stance. Personally though, I'm more interested in this sweet gear box Phil's been talking about

Lol, you'll find out when the cash flows to pay for it.

That should be interesting. You can have a really powerful engine but its worthless without a solid transmission

Exactly. There's no point in having that much power, if there's no way to safely put it down.

I'm worried about shredding whats left of my transmission but apparently there was someone running 12.6 at this altitude with my transmission and not having any problems with it.
But, i'll definately be picking up some RA gears when i get the money.

I'd consider bench building a box in a WRX case. It's so much easier, since parts are so much more readily available for the WRX case. Then just swap the rear section, and bolt it in.
I thought about RA Gears, but after all of the blown sets that I've seen, I don't want to risk it.

If only i knew what bench building a box in a wrx case i'd be much happier.

Get a WRX transmission case, and build it on the bench (like a spare case) then just swap it for your gearbox, and your car won't be down for a while

In other words, a spare transmission to swap in? I've been told the RA gears dont hold up too well depending on the power.

Yea, build a spare transmission. That's what I plan on doing.
I've, personally, seen about 5 or 6 RA sets with blown gears.
A nice, straight cut or helical synchro or dog box would be awesome.
A straight cut synchro box would run you around $5000US + a WRX case with gear shafts and a working stock 5th and Reverse and an unharmed front diff.
