Hardy - You could get the GT wagon with a manual transmission over in Japan. Right?

The grille is the stock grille? I thought all GT grilles were color matched, just like in the USA with the turbo grille.

I dont think so, but i've been wrong before.

Maybe I should've said stock style. NA grills have three slats, and the chrome doesn't connect on the top

No it was not. GT2 has a 93 Legacy RS and it most definitely a BD.

Hehe, I was hoping we weren't going to have to use Gran Turismo as a reference, but he is right...

So Subaru's own website is incorrect?

http://www.subaru.co.nz/Roam/About_Suba ... rticle=755

The BD chassis started as late 93 production. Those few months of 1993 BD production could have been sold as 1993 models, but how can you sell a chassis as a model year before it was produced?

What did Subaru sell for the 9 months prior to the japanese release of the second generation Legacy? Was there only 2 months of the 1993 model year?

I think not. Before 10/93, there was no such thing as the BD chassis. Gran Turismo has been wrong before.

Heheh, believe it or not, everyone is right!

There are 93 BC/BF and there are 93 BD/BG. In japan the year a car is sold is its model year. The BC/BF was sold up until late 93, and the BD/BG started selling in late 93.

Evidently. Also I was wrong about the transmission, manuals were available, just rare.
