I used to get that shock in high school, where I was a good boy, (while almost everyone else I knew was getting high or tripping) but then along came college...
I will now quote a very wise school cafeteria Chef:
"Children, there's a time and place for everything, and it's called college."
I still never messed with anything other than the ganja. I saw far too many people get into some serious shit with the other drugs. I realized, though, that MJ was the only one that it seemed I was lied to about my whole life (for some reason it was put up there in the same category as heroin, meth and cocaine).
I guess that's why they call it a gateway drug. It's only a gateway drug because, once you find out how mild and harmless MJ is, you think the same must be true about the other drugs they grouped together! I've never tried anything else, because I've seen the people addicted to the other substances. And the ones who only smoke pot are way more amusing.
edit: On an unrelated note, in high school as soon as I turned 16 I got to start driving my first car... thats right, a 1987 Ford Escort EXP. The EXP must have stood for EXPerimental, and they must have not done the experiment right. It is my past experiences driving that shitbucket that have led me to my love of turbos and AWD... by comparison. It also showed me the quality of care that Ford put into all their vehicles, because that car was definately Found On the Road, Dead a few times. It was also required that it be Fixed Or Repaired Daily, so both the acronyms held true.

free5ty1e, we have almost the same story. I also a good boy in high school, decated to hockey. You have to be when you are the goalie. When it was over, all hell broke loose, well not completely. Never went beyond the trees. But manage to do just fine in a really technical area, I just happen to be on the mechanical side of things.
NICO, being in northern Minnesota, I come across plenty of canadian bud. Actually, if it is not local, its from canada. Beasters (I would hope you've heard the term, BCs, whatever), are everywhere, and are on the lower end of the spectrum around here. Damn, I should cut back
Anyways, I definately want to make a trip to that region some time in the somewhat near furture. I've only been as far east as detroit and nashville. I wouldn't untill my baby is worked over mechanically, which will commence when I start serving at the end of the summer. Going from $6 an hour hosting to 5-7 bills a week serving will definately make that possible. All this reminds me of a great song be the artist known as coolio. It was on the Half Baked soundtrack....

That was a great movie, and Coolio has made many classics. I myself had a Wesley Pipes, and a Billy Bong Thornton. Word.
See, down here in FL, the majority of what can be found is nasty brown Mexian crap. Anything else is either locally grown or has filtered its way down from Canada, and we do not get the top buds here. Great reason to travel...

NICO- serving as a waiter. Up in these parts we don't call it being a waiter or waitress anymore. Server is the general term. I hear ya on the BC term. Everyone knows beasters as the low end when it comes to chronic arounds here. I get spoiled cause my buddy grew about 4 pounds last year and has 70 ( yes seventy ) plants marked in his GPS right now, and hopefullly the deer don't eat them all. When the priciple ran out, he busted out about twelve grams of keif, then a bunch of oil. Being in Canal Park in Duluth means big dolla's. Huge tourism spots, as in THE spot in the town. Tourism is a huge part of the economy here and when you serve in one of the top restaourants in that area, you make bank. Thats why I can't even hot-tank my block right now. But when I serve at Old Chicago-Duluth, I'll be able to play.
About mj. It is not possible to be physically addicted to mj, like cigarettes, coke, tweak, heroin, etc. It takes two days to get over the physical addiction of nicotene. Buds are a straight mental addiction, just like boost.
