I think it's funny that a small newspaper ad for the B9 made sure to show the interior too. Like they're saying "Look, it's not all bad."

I think public opinion is also moving against SUVs. Subaru's a little late to the party. Tribecas are loading up on the lots around here.

i have read many times in public statements by subaru that they will ALWAYS be boxer engines AND all wheel drive.

they cant keep them on the lot here in fargo. most are sold before they get here. they wish they could get more cloth interior ones as they seem to be in higher demand.

and as i said before i like tribeca. and i am about as subaru purist as you can get. been driving them for ten years. own 2 now. have owned 5 in those ten years.

Oh, no. Who's trying to sabotage Subaru anyway?
the consumers.

something like 3% of the LGT wagon sales last year were 5MT.

That's great, so many people bitch about the no manual in the wagon, but who bought one? Like noone. And you all wonder why we got the auto in the touring wagon. There's obviously no market for a manual turbo legacy wagon.

Maybe the right people just aren't buying them.

plus, subaru fanatics are the kind of crazies that will convert it to 5MT themselves anyway.

It wouldn't have mattered Laurel. The subaru crowd is much more entusiastic nowadays and manual turbo legacy wagons didn't sell. I doubt they would've sold back then either.

I think the B9 looks great, except for the front end. I put the rest of the package at par with a Lexus 330. Then again, I was drunk at the time, so who knows?

BTW - I saw a picture of a new STI recently, forgot where, and it had a nose similar to the Tribeca.

im starting to see them driving around town more now.

they look ok.

i fail to see the poit of the vehicle though. it isnt that much bigger than the OB to justify its existance if you ask me.

2 more seats. Good for families of more than 4 to sit comfortably(or have friends in the car)
