Possibly this car was equipped to run on Propane, (L.P. or Liquid Petroleum) probably switchable to gasoline (petrol). Popular up in Canada, very hard to find here in the US. We need the Canadian & European members to ring in here... was this available from the factory, or is this an aftermarket setup?

The second & third picture may be some sort of propane flow control/pressure regulator/carb?

There are firms in UK that do LPG conversions. Perhaps it can run on either petrol or LPG? I'm assuming he's been running it on gasoline.

Where do the lines that go into the unit in the first picture come from?

I wonder if this issue is related to the weird equipment he has installed as shown in another thread. I wish I knew more about LPG conversions.

another vote for LPG. possibly a dual fuel setup.
show us some more pics of where those four lines lead to. individual "injectors" maybe?
the second and third pics look like a regulator. are there any coolant lines going into or out of it?
and is there any evidence of a tank having been mounted in the trunk?
I want a dual fuel setup for my car.

must you start a new topic for every little thing you want to show us? Excuse me but it is getting annoying and would be easier if you confined it to one topic.

That looks interesting. But they did have a EJ20 in the european models. Just not the USDM ones.

EJ20 means the engine is a EJ series and the 20 means it is a 2.0L

I have merged all of your threads into one. As was suggested, you don't need to start a new thread everytime a slightly different question comes up...

your 2.0 is no surprise, outside of the US there were 1.8 models in certain markets as well.
However the US ONLY got 2.2s
