Har har. It's got less to do with that stuff and more to do with me being part of the family and a friend and of that I'm glad.

I just wanted to let you know for planning's sake. I'm going to be taking a nice road trip towards the end of the summer so if you guys don't mind me bringing the 96' I'll definately be there this year. It's likely my last summer in the East for a while and I want to meet all you guys.

If this is between August 6 (coming back from vacation) and September 2 (going off to college), I can possibly come. But don't plan it around me or anything.

Matt, how's the family?
I'm going to be missing the Shootout so F&S=priority now.

At this point I'm not sure about the F&S happening this year or not. This month is no good, next month doesn't look much better and the Shootout is in Sept. So if the F&S is even going to go down this year it's looking like maybe Oct.
What do you guys think, should I even bother?

if it's October my vote is don't bother
meh, this blows, I know it's not your fault Matt, but I'm still bummed

This is the end....
Of our elaborate plans
The end...
Just kidding, but it sure looks grim don't it?

I wouldn't go that far Scott, it'll probably happen next year, and we all know these last few months have more than likely been ridiculously busy for Matt and his family. If enough people say do it in October then there is no reason not to. Heh, I know I'm not the Feed and Speed so if I can't come that doesn't make much of a difference does it?

I know Matt's been busy as all get out, which btw, how's everyone doing Matt? And so while I'm bummed to hear that it may not happen I certainly understand.
For the record though, I'd like to put my vote in for October. There's a lot of you guys I'd like to meet and next year I'm hoping to be out west so I gotta meet the cool East-Coasters before I go

You should just come to the Shootout in Sept Lee.
I have been extremely busy....too busy. Everyone is doing well, thanks for asking.
The lack of responses makes me think that there really isn't much interest in the F&S anymore, so unless people start speaking up it's going to be a no go.

I'm so busy now with the house, work, and family around here that the trip out is hard to schedule. I will try to make the shootout, though.

So does that mean a couple of us can come out for a weekend and hang, babysit, and work on some cars before we hit up sweet back roads??

You're always welcome Will.
You should really try and make the Shootout in Sept.

NOOOOO!!!!!!
I still want to go to the F&S! It's been the best caring experience of my life two years running.

Well, if people show interest in having it this fall or winter then I'll do it. The only reason I cancelled it was because nobody was posting up about being interested in still doing it this fall or whatever.
LMK what's up guys.

Matt, it does not have to be a big event. That is not what people are coming across the seaboard to see. They like hanging out with other turbo legacy's and working on their car with legacy specific mechanics.
Find a weekend that is open for you and invite people over. Maybe we can erect a big tent in your back yard to work on the cars, kind of like a paddock at a rally race.

There's a possiblity that if this still happens I might have a line on some working space in the area...and a large tent too.

No, it doesn't need to be big.
I know that for most the racing was never the big draw and at this point I'm totally over the whole competative racing thing. I can't afford to break my car again and need to baby it.
IU was talking to Phil last night and it would be a shame to not do the F&S anymore so I'll probably keep it going but it will be more a meet more like what you're talking about and not have a competative feel to it and no orginized racing of any kind.

Haha, yeah, that'd be sick. Not sure what the wife would think though.

Dude, I don't know what type of tent your talking about, but I was thinking of the kind that's not in a pair of pants.
