Maybe we can do one further north; I'm pretty flexible. Holidays sure aren't gonna help much though.

Is that a 'go play in the snow' get together/cruise I see in the not-to-distant future?

				Here's my proposal:
A quick day trip starting somewhere in the greater Tacoma area (perhaps KrunchyKreme for doughnuts and coffee) then head out SR7 to SR12 to SR123 then on to SR410 back toward the Enumclaw/Buckley area for lunch/hang out/beers/what have you. Its a fun drive on some good twisty and scenic roads that I've done before.
Now if we were to do this, it would need to be soon as the passes are usually closed by the middle/end of November. How does Nov. 10/11 work for everybody? Thats two weekends away, so think and respond quickly, please. Now, this winter is forecast to be warm and wet (giggity) so we may have a few more weeks, but I'd rather not push it.
All the locals, please check and/or clear you schedules and let us know, in this thread, if this is feasible!

I might have to take a couple kids with me so I dunno how kid friendly you guys are? I think I met you CJ at the wcss I have the 86 subaru vanagon.

I've done a bit of that route but and would be up for it-- I should be without obligations that weekend.
I wouldn't be opposed to something further north like this --
beatersubi route -
http://goo.gl/maps/uySwR
arlington/everett mt pilchuck area route -
http://goo.gl/maps/9xy17 -- apparently this is a mountain loop, unpaved in certain areas, possible snow lol
Absolutely no idea if that route is even passable/realistic.. Maybe some of you northern guys can chime in.

According to the Forest Service the Mtn. Loop is open, with ice and snow accumulation up to 4 inches. I might have time this weekend to give it a try and report back. It is really close to where I live already.
The other route past Mt. Rainier is pretty far South for me. I don't know if I will have time on the November 11th weekend but I will find out soon.
