Exhaust group buy and my new Legacy

Well the coolest thing happened this weekend. We finally took a
Legacy turbo in on trade. It's a 93 with 114K miles. It has a few
problems, like auto belt motor, auto antanae motor, and almost ten
years worth of dirt. The car doesn't look like it has ever been
cleaned. I'm hopefully going to be able to buy it this week. My
total price including tax is a little over 3100. The cool thing is
the lady just had a 60K service done, a new MAF put in, and a new
clutch. Hopefully I'll be able to get it. Anyhow since I am I
probably should get in on the group buy discussion a little bit.

I personally favor the single downpipe, no cat, centre pipe with
resonator and cat, and single outlet muffler. I'd say my biggest
concern would be to invest money that is going to get me better
performance but not ruin everyday drivability with a fairly low cost
to all of us. I'd rather spend extra money on other stuff than on
very little performance gain exhaust items. I'm not for sure in on
the group buy though until I get the car but I'm gonna try hard.

I just read what I wrote and realize I wasn't very
specific. When I said,
"I'd rather spend extra money on other stuff than on
very little performance gain exhaust items."
What I mean is as opposed to the dual or single with
the single being my preference because it seems that
$150 bucks spent elsewhere could yield better results.
That's just my assumption though because I am not an
exhaust system expert.

I agree. Although the twin dump downpipe might be more bennificial,
there is no proof, and I would rather put the money elsewhere.
Remember, a 3" turbo-back system is going to change our cars
completely for the better, no matter what... So, anything else?
