How did you know that you had a bad throttle sensor??
And where would I find it? I have a '92 Legacy Turbo.

They are the same for autos and manuals. The only difference is that the older
ones.....89-93 or 94 in the US have a 4 wire lead, rather then a 3 wire lead.
The older style has the throttle stop built into the TPS, rather then another
sensor.
When you took it off and such, are you re-adjusting it properly. You want to
adjust it with the throttle stop in mind. I don't remember the specifics, but
when I get home or time later, I'll post the info for you, if you want.

Anyone know if the throttle position sensor is the same for an
automatic and manual trans? Mine has been acting up even after a
good cleaning, and I have the chance to grab one for a song off of a
parts car that is an automatic, my 2.2 is a manual. Somehow I keep
thinking that I heard/read that they are different, did an archive
search but came up empty handed, thought I could check with you
guys. Any help would be appreciated, john
