wet weather and poor motor running
Posted: Sun May 26, 2002 1:22 am
I've got a 1990 legacy wagon GT, with a EJ20 2.0 turbo motor, it runs
really well when cold on a hot/warm day, and runs ok when the motor
is warm on a warm day also.
But when the weather is wet and raining, then the car runs sick as.
It feels like it is runing on only 3 cylinders, it back fires, and
runs really sick, if you manage to get the revs up - it jumps into
power mode and runs alot better, and once the temp gauge comes up the
cars runs not too bad, but still has a small surge occasionally.
No errors are in the log.
I've checked to see if any electrical connections are wet, and can't
find anything wrong or wet.
Could this be the intake air sensor playing up???
Any suggestions would be appreciated, as my wife is pregnant, and I
need a reliable car for her to drive.
Thanks in advance.
