Hi All: Looking for suggestions on how to hold the main pulley as to
remove the bolt that holds it. First time trying on an auto trans.
Any and all suggestions welcome. Thanks

There is a small little plug thing on the passenger side bell housing of
the tranny. Pull the plug out, and stick a BIG crowbar type screwdriver
down there. You'll need someone to help hold the crowbar thing while
you take the bolt off.

Other option, and prob more correct method is to buy a pulley/pipe chain
wrench which will hold the pulley while you loosen the nut.

When you put the pulley back on, torque the crank pulley bolt to 110
ft/lbs of torque, and apply locktite to the threads of the bolt.

Back behind the intake manifold on the passenger side, there should
be a small hole that will let you see the ring gear for the starter
motor. Jam a beefy screwdriver in there and it won't move. I used
this method to install an UOR Underdrive pulley and it worked great.
