Hey guys, i have a '92 legacy turbo 5spd and am looking for a blow
off valve for it... i'm really not looking for a specific sound or
loud one although they do sound cool:) Can anyone suggest a specific
manufacturer/brand or model or type of blow off valve for me to use?

I want to keep cost down and am aiming for something that would have
the best quality for the dollar.......thanks

I was using a Bosch blow off unit and when I went to high boost
someone recomended the Forge unit. I couldn't tell much difference
although I haven't installed the heavier spring in the Forge yet..
Since then someone on the board said the Bosch unit was good. First
$25.00 owns the Bosch.

Al, what kind of improvment do you see with the Bosch over stock BOV?

I'm not sure how much how much any of you guys follow the rally
scene, but a bit of insight...

The USA Subaru Rally team uses a BOV that looks damn similiar to
ours, and i've overheard discussions mentioning that it's the same
one. The rally car i co-drive for uses the save BOV from a '91 turbo
as well; we've never had an issue with it at all. What we DID have a
problem with was the stock BOV from a new WRX; apparently those leak
boost as well as at some points in vacuum it starts sucking IN air-
not good.

Why are you REALLY needing an aftermarket blow off valve? did you
break yours?

The stock would leak at high boost (20lb) it provably wasn't made
for it.
