I knew that this turbo was going to be a little laggy before I put it in, but I also knew that it would make up for it up top. It is in fact very laggy on the bottom with my stock setup, but has a very noticable top end increase.

Before, I was running 2.1s 60', now it's more like 2.2s low 2.3s. Maybe it was just because it was a hot day and I had a boost leak. I always have a leak somewhere. On a positive note, my trap speed increased from 84mph to 87mph on average. The best time I could get was 15.8 with a 2.3 60'.

Don't get me wrong, I do like the turbo, I just think I should have waited for a few other mods before I put it on. I'm sure an exhaust, some fuel management and more boost will really make a big improvement. And when my new clutch gets put in, maybe my 60' time will drop.

My setup is a little laggy with a 3" dp and 2.5" exhaust. I can't imagine what your setup is like with the stock exhaust components!!

Oh, and you might wanna take a look at the compressor map for that turbo. At 10psi, you might be barely into the turbo's efficiency range.

About 750' :D . The clutch will help a whoooole lot. Especially if you do the lightweight flywheel. Adam at Z1 can get you about the best price on the Exedy 12.8lb (A.K.A. STi flywheel without the STi stamp on it).

I have a fwd L wgon and I ran a 16.3 @ 86mph at New England Drag Way. All I've got is a custom ram-air intake via NACA duct. Of course she was still young at heart then (only 140K). I was thinking of putting an EJ22G in with that same turbo. I wonder if I should reconsider now... Is your car intercooled?

I have the Saab 900 intercooler on it. I've been having problems with the intercooler setup. I'm 90% sure there is major leakage. I'm not really sure where exactly though.

I'm hoping to get my exhaust done next week. I am getting 2.5" all the way back with a magnaflow straight through muffler. If I can find the boost leak before I get the exhaust done, I will be making a trip to the track.

Another thing I am almost sure of is that the turbo is barely into the turbo's efficiency range. I'm waiting for some type of fuel management and exhaust before raising the boost above the cutoff level.

Which Magnaflow are you planning on using? I ask because my buddy can get anything they make for cost, so I was trying to figure out which one I'd use. I couldn't find one that had the outlets low enough for a Subaru. The only thing I can think of is getting tips that turn down (ala VW Jetta).

I never thought about the tip not fitting. I bought the muffler off of my cousin for $40. I think it was on a galant vr4 before he sold it to me. I hope it fits.

Probably shouldn't ask in this forum, but how much was your flywheel Brat4by4? And it really helped out you think??

well, when i drove the car at the track i rolled a 16.0@86mph.... THAT WAS MISSING 3RD GEAR. The car really is capable of a low 15 second pass but im afraid anytime i try to really launch it like its got a pair, ill create more boost leaks

One of these days well get it back to thetrack and ill give it a good 5k 3/4 drop and well see if it cant pull a 2.0 60ft or better.
