Just wondering what the differences are, the AWD tank has the transfer pump so i'm not sure what wire if any will need to be added or rerouted when i do my AWD conversion.

By "transfer pump" do you mean what Subaru calls the "jet pump?" I think the jet pump is purely mechanical; the fuel flowing through the return line draws fuel in from the driver side of the tank through the Bernoulli effect. I don't think there are any electrical differences.

Yeah, the one that makes sure the fuel in the tank is even on both sides.
Conversion just got a little easier (mentally atleast) if it is indeed purely mechanical

vrg3 is right! The difference though is that AWD has TWO fuel level senders...

It does? I only knew of the one on the passenger side.
How are both senders' signals combined for the gauge?

The passanger side controls the top half of the gague and the drivers side controls the bottom half, though it's probably the other way around :\
