Valve cover gaskets

Seems like this car and coolant dont mix well. Today I started the car up in the morning and ran it for a minute or two while I was changing parking positions. I looked under the car for leaks and found some coolant dripping under the pass side head. It appeared to be coming from the little triagular shaped plastic thing with a round hole twords the narrow end, splash guard or something. Anways I looked around and found it was dripping from the valve cover gasket. How it got there I don't know but I thought oil was the only thing that flowed through the valve covers. So does anyone have an idea of what the problem could be? Just the gaskets or something more?

Looking at the engine in my kitchen, I can't see how you'd be getting coolant from there unless you had a very strangely cracked head. Is it dripping from the radiator to upper water pipe hose and travelling down the valve cover? It's the only way I can imagine you'd be getting coolant dripping there. A cracked radiator or bad drain plug on the radiator could cause dripping on the splash guard, too, but I don't see how it would get to the valvecover. Could it be from the headgasket maybe and looks like its coming from the valve cover somehow?

I didn't really check the upper hose though that should've been the first thing to check. I only looked at the top not the bottom. It had better not be a blown hg already, only been in there 2 days. I'll be looking at it tomorrow and see if it shows up again.

I bet the coolant is dripping onto a wire or hose and traveling to a remote location.
Also my moms car had coolant at the triangle when the radiator cracked. The crack would disapear when the car was cold so it was VERY hard to find.

I had suspected that but I searched the whole area and there was no coolant coming from the radiator at all, it started about midway on the triangle, the coolant that is.
I don't see anything today, so idunno.

It's from the radiator somewhere. Cracked tank, or rad hose, or something, but not from the engine. If coolant were to escape from the engine in such a manner, it would blow back away from the aforementioned triangular piece.

Does anyone have the part number(s) for the valve cover gaskets? I've searched all over this board and have come up empty handed. Anyone?

If your valve cover gaskets were leaking, you'd see oil on either side of the engine....where the covers meet the block...
