color matching the front grill

I've been tinkering with the idea of painting my front grille to match the body color.

Has anyone else done this? would it be a pain more than a benefit?

I'd like to try and find a 91 grille to attempt to do this since I"m no master painter. (if you could see a close up of the custom job I did on my old car you'd believe me)

I'm thinking body color and a repaint of the emblem in a gloss black.

Thoughts?

Mines painted to match, and I tweaked the emblem a little ;)

You're too fast for me Josh,

I was going to edit my post saying nevermind, I saw yours....

Nice work, do it yourself I assume....

Pain in the butt to sand and paint evenly?

Did you clearcoat?

Also, I'm going to need a new rear emblem, Mine is oxidized green a bit...

When my car was last painted, the idiots got some overspray on my front grill, so I replaced it with an eBay one 8)...

Upon seeing Josh's car and again wishing my car would look like that , I might take the oversprayed grill and have it painted when I get my fancy paint job this summer, just to see what it looks like, and if I don't like it, I can go back to the one on there now.
