Remember the idea to use 2.5 stroke in an EJ22t block?

Its been done using the new STI crank and EJ20 rods with custom pistons!
At the bottom of the thread I asked some questions. You know in some martial arts movie how the character would hit someone and say "WHAAAA" and their hole body would shake? Thats what I felt like on my second post

I asked a question and got a really crappy answer then gave him my judo chop

I think part of the response you got was an evasive attempt to keep some of the info on the build proprietary. And as we all know, half the money is in labor on a block like that, so I bet they continue to hesitate to release just the pistons. Plus, since they likely have only built four or five of these to date and probably tightly control who gets them, so their competition doesn't get their specs and the ability to copy them without doing their own complete R&D. Seems like smart business to me. Part of why I linked them (
http://bbs.legacycentral.org/viewtopic.php?t=15023) the other day is because a very few number of us are truly engine builders.
Sure, we can Lego together Subarus, and run the math to reveal interfence engines and the like. But as for designing parts to get around those things? That is way over my head, and as such, I will be paying someone to assemble my custom engine, which, BTW should start sometime in April or May. I may be selling the Legacy, but I have already found a shortblock for my build, and will get the engine done first and then buy another Legacy when my finances are better.
