I've been searching for some info, but none of them seems to be really clear. I have 1990 SUBARU LOYALE 4WD/5sp (bought it really cheap

) . I believe the engine code is ea82.(sohc w/ 1781cc) I recently read the article on sports compact regarding swaping ej20t motor. I've try to find out weather the motor can fit into my car. I have ask/posted/read other forums/mag/google, and some said yes, and others no. If I cannot fit an ej20t motor, what other turbo engine could my car take?(it seems like ej22t would fit)
I have helped/done engine swaps before.(sr20de motors)
I know if would have to get motor/tranny/ecu. I just wanted to get some advice on what turbo motor will fit into my car. thanks everyone for their input.

You should talk to subafreak on this board. He put an EJ22T in his Loyale. An EJ20 swap would be almost identical mechanically.

If I didn't already have an engine, I'd jump on this as its more complete. I could even pick it up. Fredericton, New Brunswick, right? That's only about 6 hrs from here.
I could pick this up for someone more local to me, but the extra parts I need for my own swap may go missing (intake plumbing, pressure sensor, downpipe)...

Seriously, I'd be willing to pick up for price of gas.

Well, Some of you may be in luck with the intake sections...
My buyers seem to be few and far between, very sketchy at best.
I get offers, and I tell them about the details and they just up and disappear....
If I can't get a concrete buyer by mid next week I will have to start stripping the engine bay for goodies that I can store in boxes when I move.

Dibs on the pressure sensor, MAF to turbo plumbing, crossmember, radiator tank.
