WRX 4EAT swap information

So far I have been able to verify that the "inhibitor switch" function and connections are the same pinout and plug shape. Actually it looks as if every automatic from day one (legacy+), no matter the model, uses the same switch.
This is the unit on the passenger side of the transmission that the shift linkage connects to. Its what lights up your dash and tells the TCU what selection you are in.

Working on the transmission electronics side. Looks as if at least one difference would be the torque converter turbin speed sensor (not needed) and the speed sensors. Also the plug is a different shape I think.

I SO wish I could get the the body side of the plug plus 8 inches of wire :cry:

Okay I think I remember the following. Help me correct these

Duty Solenoid C is the center differential
Duty Solenoid B is torque converter
Duty Solenoid A is the line pressure

A 2000+ transmission controller for the standard 4EAT looks to be the same pinout and plug as the VTD 4eat.

If you visit the above link and search for " 2-4 b " click back and forth between the second result and the third result to see the two compared.

The removal of the front brake band is really screwing me up. It may be that 99 is the true cut off for automatics. I havent given up yet though.

Its not looking good. The interaction of two solenoids that replaced the 3rd shift solenoid might be the show stopper.

I still dont think its correct, even if it is from subaru. Basically it would be like a standard 5 speed viscous center, with one output geared higher and a clutch to lock the viscious unit (like in some previos generation 5 speeds.)

Im still very sure that it has 36/64 front/rear at 100% duty and either 50-50 when turned off or 40-60 when turned off. Too much information exists to disprove the above document.
