OEM or aftermarket Turbo head gaskets?

Does anyone have a problem with OEM turbo HGs at high HP levels? I want this engine to be able to stand 300HP reliably (whether or not it actually has that much). Would the OEM turbo's stand that for 100k mi or are there better maintenance-free (no retorquing of heads) gaskets out there that don't require machining work to the heads either? I also plan to go to ARP head studs.

We are in the same boat.

I havnt heard of HG failing in any factory turbo EJ engines (at least common failures). At the same time I have seen many ej25 turbo or NA and ej22 NA fail.

I might usea cometic gasket just to be safe, still not sure if its needed though. I also plan to use ARP studs.

ciper - that's exactly why I asked, I've also seen N/A 2.2 and 2.5s blow gaskets relatively often. I know the closed deck block affords a much better sealing surface as well as keeping the cylinders from walking, but I wasn't sure if the 160HP stock engine's gaskets were as overbuilt as the rest of the engine.

I'm getting a whole gasket kit and the HGs come with, but if they weren't that great I'd replace them. What do the cometic's go for? I've seen them mentioned elsewhere in reference to the WRXs. Is there a web site?
