Hello,
I own a 1993 Legacy Super Station (bjf) with power door locks and infrared-receivers in the front outside handles. Because of the costs for a oem key with remote transmitter I'm into installing an aftermarket remote control.
I'm assuming that I've got an power lock actuator in the driver door because of the factory ir-remote - right? Anyone done the wiring? Anyone got the wiring diagram of this type of power door locking system? My Haynes manual only contains the versions without factory remote control.
Best regards.

I never knew the factory had this feature. I don't think we got the ir option in the US. Maybe someone else from Europe could help?

There is no way to interface with ANY subaru door lock system even if it has a wireless keyless remote. You must install an actuator in the drivers door and then all the dorrs will work.

Trust me thats the only way.

As far as how to do the actuator thing do a search, its been covered.

Thanks for the input, so it seems harder than I thought.
