Strange...Ignition Switch?

Finished washing my car today and when I go to start it up, I put the key in the ignition. When I do that, it beeps at me and the seat belt moves a little then the beeping and seat belt both stop. So I then figured out that if I hold the key in the right spot, it will beep, and the seat belt will move all the way back. Then, it will keep beeping one long beep and one short beep if i keep the key in the same spot.

The seat belts only move back when the door is closed
This is all with the ignition switch in the "LOCK" position and the key inserted and held in just the right spot. It also happens in "ACC" as well.

Everything works fine in the "ON" position though.....

I think it may be a bad ignition switch. I just wanted to make sure because I don't understand how a bad ignition switch would be causing those irregular beeps even with the switch all the way in the "LOCK" position. Could the little switch that triggers the chime be causing this? If so I don't see how. :?

No water got inside the car and I didn't spray under the hood at all...

Sounds like the little switch that tells the ignition that there is a key present in the ignition. When do you ever get in the car and slowly go from acc to on to start? Probably never. I'm sure there is something wrong with it but I'm sure you dont need to worry about it for now.
