yeah so i finally got new brakes, gr-2's and tires at Big O and now my car is sliping out of 1st and 2nd gear, and whenever I floor it, power light. but it is fine when in 3rd or D and my fluid level is fine.
is this electronic? is it mechanical? is it time for a fluid flush and replacement?
I have also notice that the car kind of vibrates at stops and the transmission shifting a little harder in the mornings
Help!!!!!!!!!!

Not sure about the transmission slipping part, but the power light (you're refering to the little green light right?), is supposed to come on when you accelerate hard or downshift suddenly.
Essentially, the transmission operates in two modes (IIRC): "normal mode" -for regular driving- and "power mode" -for uphill driving and rapid acceleration. The tranny automatically selects the mode according to how quicly you step on the accelerator.
If the transmission is throwing a code, typically, the power light will blink a certain number of times on start up, but generally (at least to my knowledge) not while driving.
I doubt any of that really helped you with your problem, but at least you know why the power light was coming on. *shrug*

wait it's only slipping when you put the selector in 1 or 2. It works fine when the selector is in 3 or 4 through all gears? Is that right?

its slips out of 1st and 2nd when the shifter is in those positions AND it slips out of those 2 gears when its in the D position

okay so 1st and 2nd gears are slipping? I wouldn't do a fluid flush If I were you. It might make the car undriveable.

look at he bright side, now you'll have a good tranyy that'll last a whole lot longer. You could also convert to manual if ya wanted.

Could it be the torque converter?

heh, didn't see this until now, sorry. I really have no idea, I dont know enough about auto tranny's to make an educated guess, but I'm gunna say its possible. Though I'd think it would effect all gears instead of just 1 and 2.

Is the fluid burnt? Should be red like wine color. If it's dark and smells burnt then your tranny is slipping. It can be slipping 1st and 2nd with out effecting the other gears. 1-2 and 3-4 clutches are grouped together. You might need a rebuild.
