How to take out gauge cluster of 1991 Legacy Turbo?

I'm trying to take out the gauge cluster on the 1991 Legacy Turbo that I'm probably going to buy, I have it in my posession (guy let me borrow it for a couple days). Yesterday I noticed a piece of tape over where the check engine light is. Uh oh.

Long story short, I'm trying to take out the gauge cluster, I have most of the piece of plastic that is pretty much the entire upper half of the dash, but I can't get it completely out.

It seems to be stuck on the climate controls, there are these things that look like clips beneath the center vents after taking them out, but it doesn't look like they release the climate controls. How do I take out the climate controls so I can access the gauge cluster?

Thanks very much for help. :)

Why buy the car if it's shady like that?

I found 2 screws to remove it. I'm dumb.

He's had it for awhile and didn't know about the tape. The guy's a good guy, so I believe him. And its cheap enough.

Its probably nothing since the car drives so well. If its major, I'm not buying it. Simple as that.
