crazy blinkers

After the swap I noticed that my blinkers don't work. These should always work when the car is on right? This has happened before, but it was only briefly. Another thing I noticed is the car likes to die sometimes depending on how quickly I decellerate. Again could this be related to still using the 4eat ecu?

Did you cut the wire to the ECU for tranny identification?
Do the blinkers not work in any mode? turn signals, parking lights, or hazard lights? I found my turn signals did not work, and it was a fuse. All their other functions worked fine, just not turn signals.

well on the pre-face the blinkers and parking are separate. but ill go check all thos other things. I didnt cut anywires aside from the gear indicator wire. I hope it's a fuse, knowing my luck it would be, but then I'll be wonrderng why it blew in the first place.

One day while it was raining I had my blinker on waiting to turn left... Then next to me I saw this guy trying to push his car off the road as it was broken down. I decided to get out and help.
Anyways.... the point is, I turned my hazards on before I got out and left the blinker on as well which caused the fuse to blow. Hopefully this is what happened in your case.

oh wait I think i found out what it is. the reverse lights are on the same fuse as the turn signals right? I saw it said "back turn"

okay yes that was the problem, I believe

. I had the wires that would normally be attaced to the shift selector frayed, loose, and open, and I think it was grounding through the chassis, or exhaust, or tranny or engine or something who knows which overloaded the fuse and pop. So I just snipped em off and taped them down, so far so good
