Emission/oil breather questions

I had a drawing that would explain this a hundered times better but i don't have a scanner here in iraq..
On my 1.8t in my RX at home theres nothing in the engine bay but cooling lines and oil in and out and 2 oil breathers and the battery and engine harness.. it's clean no emissions anything.. i've noticed alot more pick-up..
Personally it erks me when i look in my engine bay and theirs just a bunch of speggitti pcv lines and oil breather recirulation lines, hoses on top of hoses on top if hoses.. it pisses me off.
I look at a rally car, or finished performance vehicles and i'm just amazed at what little there is, that is actually needed.
Now with all the leak problems, that i've had, have now or look forward to their just seems to be way to much stuff that dosen't NEED to be there.
I also live in an area where emmisions are not an issue, so this is not a reason not to..
But i'd like to clean house so to speak when i get home.. WHAT DON"T I NEED.. there are 4 or 5 oil breather lines and pcv breathers, and a intake manifold hose that all recirulates back into the intake.. Most of it dosen't have ANY pressure running thru it (except the intake manifold recirc)..
What can i cap off, what can i get rid off. and what for sure need to be recirculated.. CAN i put oil breathers on the valve covers, ..i got em on my 1.8t with NO adverse affects. does the PCV need to be recirculated our can i put a breather over that..
Some heads up please.. no rush. i'm not going anywhere for a while.
