Don't think there is one. Since there is only one EZ30, there's no need for a qualifyer. Different tunes of engine, like the EJ25, require a qualifyer to differentiate the tune. EJ257 = STi engine. EJ255 = FXT engine.

well there has to be. It's how subaru keeps track engines right? There was only one ej18 right, but it has a modifier, same with the ej16 and the ea-series

Will someone find a car with the EZ30 in it and read the engine code from the plate under the hood

You find out all kinds of stuff that way. I don't know my chassis code was actually BC7 until I looked under there.

How is yours a BC7? The chassis code is in the VIN, and mine reads BC6...
