Got my tranny, diff, and driveline today!!!

So I'm one step closer to start working on things.

Thanks to Jason for the tranny, diff, and driveline.

Thanks to Richard Buckner for the rebuild.

I need a few more misc parts, but as soon as I get insurance swapped over to tx, I'll start the teardown of the wagon :)

How much was your rebuild?

The invoice I have is right around 565. Labor was 250.00.

The total price with freight to me was around 900. He replaced the 5th gear shaft with a used one because the original wasn't going on properly. I'm not sure if that's on this list.

I also don't see syncro's on this list either......

Just trying to figure out what I may be looking at in the future. I need a fourth gear synchro job done eventually. I figure when I change out the clutch and flywheel that might be a good time to do it, but we'll see.

I also have a seal up top that lis leaking a little bit.

When I end up doing my tranny, I'm going full MRT setup.

Dogged 1, 2, and 3 with stainless synchros and a twin plate. "Supercharged Subaru? Wait, now Turbo? WTF? Where'd he go, and why are there 4 huge black marks where he WAS!?"

That or save for a JDM non-dccd 6mt with dogged 1, 2 and 3. I'd MUCH rather go that route :).

rut-roe Be sure you are 100% sure that driveshaft came from the same car as the tranny. That centerjoint usually means 4eat which = too short. It Should have 3 u-joints instead of 2 u's and a cv type like you've got. but hell it might be different for turbo's. If you'd like though I can measure my 4eat shaft so you can compare :)

The driveshaft came from the same car....or so Jason said so. If I get time this weekend, I'll pull all the parts out and check them over real good.

well that just might be the case with turbo legacy's, but all the 5mt's I've looked under were 3 u-joints (course none of the ones I looked under were turbos :o

All new Legacies have hydro clutches and the GT's have LSD's (the BE/BH's anyway)...
